*Passing of the Peace:
Leader: Since we have been
justified through faith, we now have peace with God through our Lord Jesus
Christ. Let us live into and share this
peace & grace with our neighbors in all we do. May the peace of Christ be with you.
People: And
also with you.
Minute for
Mission: One Great Hour of Sharing
Prelude: “You’re Worthy of My
Praise” Christy Girls
*Call to Worship:
Leader: Out of the fullness
of the lives God has given us we have come to worship and to praise.
People: With thanks we
offer to God the creativity of our minds, the warmth of our hearts, and the joy
of our spirits.
Leader: We
love because God has first loved us, freeing us from the power of sin and
death.
People: With glad hearts
let us join together in singing praise to God, Creator, Word, and Holy
Spirit. Amen.
*Hymn: “Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus” # 350
*Call To Confession:
*Prayer of Confession:
Unison: Merciful Lord, our
God and Maker, it is easier to cling to our brokenness than to accept your
correction; it is easier to live for ourselves than for you and our neighbor;
it is easier to disobey your word than it is to follow. Forgive us for choosing the easy path;
forgive us for the brokenness we have inflicted and for the peace we have
failed to grasp. Restore us; rend our
hearts that we may be turned to you always. Amen.
*Time of Silent Reflection
*Assurance of Pardon
Leader: Now concerning love
of the brothers and sisters, you do not need to have anyone write to you, for
you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another
People: and
indeed you do love all the brothers and sisters throughout Macedonia. But we urge you, beloved, to do so more and
more
Leader: to aspire to live
quietly, to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we directed
you.
Unison: In
Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Thanks be to God!

And in Jesus Christ his only Son our
Lord; who was conceived by the Holy

into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the
Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I

Genesis 1:27 – 28, 2:21 - 22
27So God created man in his own
image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28And God blessed them, and God
said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and
replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
21And the LORD God caused a
deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and
closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22And the rib, which the LORD
God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
